Tammy Jean Polla, 64, of Mullan, Idaho, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away March 26, 2026, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Tammy was born July 3, 1961, in Kanab, Utah, a daughter of the late Sam and Oma Davis.
In 1963, her family moved to Mullan, where Tammy was raised and later graduated from Mullan High School. She made her lifelong home there and married Dan Polla on March 31, 1995. A naturally creative person, Tammy enjoyed painting and shared her talents by teaching numerous painting workshops throughout the Silver Valley. She also loved creating clay pottery. Tammy was active in the Mullan community and generously helped with many local fundraisers over the years. She was a member of Victory World Outreach Church in Wallace. Above all else, Tammy treasured the time she spent with her family, which brought her the greatest joy.
In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her sister, Dee; and her father-in-law, James Polla.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Dan Polla of Mullan; her son, Sam Polla of Moscow, ID; two daughters, Shambri Hegbloom (Todd Kramer) of Osburn and Lindsey Hegbloom of Osburn; a brother, Sam (Kathy) Davis of Mullan; two sisters, Joann (Gale) Hayes of Priest River and Pam Davis of Kellogg; and 11 grandchildren: Michaela Johnson of Coeur d’Alene, Sarah Johnson of Moscow, Sheridyn Heacock of Anchorage, Alaska, Wyatt Heacock of Osburn (currently serving in the Army Reserves), Austyn Heacock of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Madison Johnson of Osburn, Karmyn Dehart of Post Falls, Daisy Sawyer of Kellogg, Lilly Sawyer of Kingston, Jett Harvey of Osburn, and Hazel Dehart of Osburn. Tammy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Mullan. A potluck reception will follow at the Morning Club in Mullan.
