James Joseph Polla, 83

James Joseph Polla, 83, of Mullan, ID and lifelong resident of the Silver Valley, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024 at Silverton Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia in Silverton, ID.

James was born on October 17, 1940 in Wallace, ID, a son of the late James Pierino Polla nad Ellen Marle (Jutila) Polla. He graduated from Mullan High School and later went on to become a heavy equipment operator for the Coeur Mine. He married Margaret Rugland on August 15, 1959 in Mullan, ID.

Active in his community, James was a member of the Mullan School Board, the Mullan Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Coeur Mine 25 Year Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a brother, Wayne; and a sister, Arlene.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Margaret Polla of the family home in Mullan, ID; four sons, Dan (Tammy) Polla, David Polla, Don Polla, and Marty Polla; a grandson, Sam Polla; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

No services are planned at this time.
