Tammy S. Pona was born on March 26, 1969 in St. Louis, MO. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Sue (nee Nash) Biggers. She died on September 15, 2025 at her home in De Soto, MO at the age of 56.

Tammy is survived by her three children, Ashley Pona of New York, NY; Samuel (Stephanie) Pona, II of Festus, MO; and Alexis (Dylan McCarthy) Pona of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and their father, Sam Pona of South Mills, NC; also survived by her father, Kenneth (Renee) Biggers of Farmington; brother, Michael (Tammy) Biggers of Bonne Terre; and grandchildren, Nash Pona and Keely McCarthy and one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue (nee Nash) Biggers and one sister, Michelle Biggers.

Tammy was a registered nurse, and she had previously served as the Director of Nursing at Hillcrest Care Center. She had a caring heart, she comforted many friends and family members while they were on hospice and was very supportive during those difficult times.
