With a heavy heart, we sadly announce the passing of Tammy Porter, 65, a gracious and kind-hearted soul. Tammy was taken by God's Angels to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV, where she was surrounded by her loving family and friends after a short illness.

Born in Baltimore, MD, on October 21, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Gregory and Ella Louise Russell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her precious son, Jason Blaise Gamber Sr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenny J. Porter of 32 years. Tammy was a proud and loving wife, mother, and a grandmother of 2 grandchildren. Left to cherish in her memory besides her husband are her beloved two grandchildren, Jules Gamber and Jason Gamber Jr. whom she lived her life for. Also, left to grieve her, but also cherish her memory are her aunts and uncles, along with several of her cousins, nieces, and nephews. As an extended family she is also survived by her cousins, Susie, Patty and Barbie, and Eben, who were like her own siblings and loved dearly.

Tammy touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us. In her lifetime, Tammy was defined by her devotion to the five "F" words: Family, Friends, Flowers, Food, and Furbabies. She loved spending time with her close friends and family, and the dinner table was always a place of laughter and love. She spent her free time in the garden, creating beautiful flower beds and was an amazing caregiver to her many animals that truly brought her joy and comfort.

She worked at BP Solar for 20 years and Garrett container for 10 from where she recently retired.

In accordance with her wishes Tammy will be cremated and inurnment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park at a later date.  No public services will be held.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ruby Memorial Hospital, doctors and staff for the care they provided while she was there.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be sent to Mineral County Humane Society. It was an organization that blessed her with two of her dogs, Gracie and Susie. Additionally, their page always gave her a place to look at all the animals that needed a new forever home. She never stopped looking for her next furbaby.

She leaves behind nothing but beautiful fond memories of love, laughter, and life for her family and close friends.

Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever.
