Tammy Salinas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector on Feb. 24, 2026.
Tammy Kayline Salinas, aged 54, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, in Jonesboro, AR. Born on June 19, 1971, in Paragould, AR, to proud parents Jimmy and Linda (Trout) Weatherspoon of Marmaduke.

Tammy's early life in Paragould was filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the strong bonds she formed with her siblings, Michael and Christy Weatherspoon, and the late Jim Weatherspoon.

In her youth, Tammy's kind heart and infectious smile captured the attention of Juan Salinas, who would become her devoted husband. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter, welcoming their children Kasha, Karlie, Katlyn, and Juan Jr. into the world.

Tammy's love for her family was paralleled only by her passion for crocheting, a skill she honed over the years, creating countless treasures that will be cherished by her loved ones for generations.

A woman of faith, Tammy was a regular participant in Bible studies, where she found strength and solace in the scriptures. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, providing comfort and purpose, and she shared this light with everyone she met.

Tammy's legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Juan Salinas; her children, Kasha Weatherspoon and partner Jessie Walker of Jonesboro, Karlie and Travis Mitts of Marmaduke, Katlyn Salinas of Marmaduke, and Juan Salinas Jr. of Marmaduke; her brother, Michael Weatherspoon; and her sister, Christy Weatherspoon. She will be remembered as a beacon of love and kindness, a woman who embraced life with open arms and who nurtured the hearts of those around her.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we take solace in the knowledge that her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and in the lives of those she touched. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she shared will continue to inspire and guide us. May we honor her memory by living with the same generosity of spirit that Tammy embodied every day of her life.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 26, 2026 starting at 11:00 at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector with the funeral starting at 12:00.
