Tania York

Tania York, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at the age of 48. She was a woman of compassion, creativity, and resilient strength, whose life was defined by love and generosity of spirit.
Born on March 11, 1977, Tania carried warmth and grace into every space she entered. She had a deep appreciation for beauty, color, and meaningful connection, and she shared these gifts freely with those around her. Her kindness was steady and sincere, offering comfort, encouragement, and understanding without expectation.
Above all, Tania was a devoted mother to her cherished daughter, Elena York, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving parents, Anastasiya Atanasov and Rumen Atanasov; her sister, Milka Chancellor; her brother-in-law, Bryan Chancellor; and her beloved nephew, Dylan Chancellor. Tania's love for her family was unwavering, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Tania lived with faith and trust in God's guidance, finding peace in His promises. Her life reflected the words of Psalm 23:
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul."
Though her time with us was far too short, Tania leaves behind a legacy of love, gentleness, and courage. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, in the lessons she taught through kindness, and in the love she so freely gave.
A celebration of Tania's life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Euless, Texas. Interment will follow at Nativity of Our Lord Monastery in Kemp, Texas.
Tania will be forever remembered, deeply loved, and eternally held in God's care.
