Tanikka Sherron Edlow Bryant, beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, and sister, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on April 18, 1983, Tanikka was the eldest child of Tracy Minkins and grew up in a loving blended family with her stepfather, Richard Wayne Minkins, Sr., and her five younger siblings, Kenneth, Keith, Tamara, Tania, and Richard Jr. She also built a meaningful relationship with her late father, Leroy "Zo" Olanzo Graves.

From an early age, Tanikka's life was filled with challenges. She faced severe asthma as a child, later battled lupus, and ultimately lived with diabetes. Despite being in and out of hospitals throughout her life, Tanikka's spirit never dimmed. She always found a way to smile, bringing light and joy to those around her, even in the hardest moments. Her strength, courage, and ability to persevere through adversity will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.

Tanikka was known for her strong will, determination, and headstrong nature. She lived life on her own terms, with resilience that matched the love she had for her family. She married Gregory Leon Bryant Jr., and together they were blessed with two children, Kadori Bryant and Kaiden-Chrisette Bryant, who were the pride and joy of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Zo; her grandfather "Bubba" Edlow; her great-grandmother "Billie"; her great-grandma Edna; her great-grandaddy Connie; and her great-great-grandmother "Chuck."

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Kadori and Kaiden-Chrisette; her mother, Tracy Minkins; her fathers in life, Mannie and Wayne; her siblings, Kenneth, Keith, Tamara (Kevin), Tania (Malick), and Richard Jr.; her niece Madison; her nephew Noah; her paternal siblings, Dominique, Jamal, Jamar, Jerod, Jasmine, and Jailyn; her grandmother, Rosalyn Edlow-Briggs; her grandma, "Lady," who lovingly cared for her; her great-uncle Ronnie; her uncles, Brian and Jermaine; her aunt Pebbles (Jerry Sr.); her cousins, Krystal (Eric), Jerry Jr., and Ivi; and a host of extended family and friends.

Tanikka's life was a testament to resilience, love, and light. Though she faced many trials, her legacy of joy and strength lives on in her children and in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Whiting's Funeral Home.
