Tara N. Kruzewski

With a heavy heart we celebrate the vibrant life of Tara N. (LaVoie) Kruzewski, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 41, in Dayville, CT. She was the loving partner of Joseph Kruzewski, her partner for 14 wonderful years of marriage and many more before.
Born in Providence, Tara brought joy and humor wherever she went, inherited perhaps from her late father, Keith LaVoie, and her ever-supportive mother, Joan (Roberts) Mulcahey. Tara's journey began at Ponaganset High School, where she graduated before completing an Associates Degree. Her adventures in the restaurant industry started early at her family's legacy, The Purple Cat, where she charmed patrons with her infectious smile and warmth. From there, she continued as a bartender and server, the life of every party, culminating most recently at the Mansion At Bald Hill in Woodstock, CT.
Tara wasn't just skilled with mixing drinks; she had a knack for whipping up delicious meals, from her love of seafood, especially lobster to recreating recipes she collected from family and friends. When not in the kitchen, she was at her happiest by the ocean, hunting for sea glass or soaking up the sun at the beach. Yet, her true bliss was found in celebrating her children.
In addition to Joseph and her mother, Tara leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Joseph and Johanna Kruzewski, her favorite sister, Kelsea LaVoie and her husband Allan, along with a troop of adoring nephews and nieces, including Landon, Austin, Leo, Andrew, Tyrell, and Peyton. Let's not forget her favorite girls, her closest relatives, and friends, who were her pillars of strength.
Join us in celebrating Tara's zest for life on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 2-5pm at the Tucker Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI, 02828. Afterward, let's honor her memory with laughter and joy at The Mansion at Bald Hill from 6-9pm. Let's raise a glass to a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Tara, you'll forever be in our hearts, painting them with the colors of your beautiful spirit.
