Tara Lowe Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Service - Vinita on Nov. 15, 2023.
On Monday, November 6, Tara Lowe, a beloved mother, daughter, and sister passed away. She was 54.
She leaves to cherish her most precious memories to her only daughter Shonte Lowe (Tyree Williams). Her parents Harvey and Della Ramsey Sr., her only brother Harvey Ramsey Jr (Bubby) sisters, Shanna Ramsey, Tiffany Lowe (Bernard Lowe, Jr.) Brandy Lowe (Clayton Lowe) and a host of nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews, her grandmother Francis Ramsey. Also, she leaves behind her companion of 23 years Jeff Heath and his daughter Dumonica (Rocquelle) Heath. A devoted aunt Cecelia Ramsey and a devoted cousin Cachet Ramsey.
Tara graduated from Vinita High School with the class of 1989, where she was active in basketball before she ultimately had to leave it behind due to a torn ACL. Tara loved all that she came in contact with and left an impression, those are the memories that will forever be in the hearts of many, she never met a stranger. Tara had a heart of gold and did not mind helping people even if she did not have it to give, even in her sickness she would still pick up the phone and call and check on her friends and family. She was active in church and just the Sunday before her passing she gave her life back to God. Tara had a passion for children and taking care of them, she pursued a career in early childhood education where she earned her degree. She took care of so many kids who leaned on her more than most and was that second mom. We will miss her constant giggles and her random text and calls just to check on everyone and the occasional choice of words that she loved to use when she stepped into a room.
Tara is preceded in death by Ethel Vann, Robert Ramsey Sr., Nancy, and AJ Johnson. Her uncles Alvin and Dennis Ramsey, Garland, and Calvin Johnson. Her aunts Glenda Downing and Kathleen Hensley.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all that has helped make this day as special as it has been. Thank you to all that have sent monetary donations, calls, text and most importantly your prayers. Thank you to First Baptist Church and staff. A special thank you to Cicley Downing, LaShandia Phillips, Kimberly Nash, Elois Daggs, Delois George.
