Jefferson - Tara A. Wright, 63, of Jefferson, a native of Shrewsbury, died at home unexpectedly on Sunday, April 21, 2024. The loss of Tara is being felt deeply by her family, friends, and coworkers.
Tara was the beloved firstborn child of the late Paul and Ellen (Butler) Wright of Shrewsbury. She was a devoted sister to her siblings, Jonathan Wright (Meg) of Shrewsbury, Heather Santry (Andrew) of Princeton, Cynthia Beaudoin (David) of East Falmouth and Jennifer Wright LaMontagne (Andrew) of Southborough. Tara was affectionately known as ‘Auntie Tara’ to the joys of her life - Briana, Dillon, Colin, Bridget, Joe, Ellen, Nathan, and McKinley. She held a special place in her heart for her Auntie Elinor (Saarinen), her mother's twin sister, and she cherished her large extended family.
Tara graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1978 and dedicated her career to helping others as a Unit Coordinator on the Cardiac Floor at St. Vincent Hospital. She loved her 24 North family and served the unit with care and compassion since 1979.
In her free time, Tara loved to shop around to find heartfelt gifts for those she loved, bringing smiles to others through her thoughtful generosity. She enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, and having coffee with her loved ones. Her special connection with the family dogs made her the favorite trusted pet sitter. Tara looked forward to, and treasured, her annual trips with her sister, Heather and family, to their little slice of heaven at Lake Willoughby, Vermont. These trips were a source of great joy for her.
Tara's kindness, warmth, and loving spirit touched many lives, and we will always cherish the wonderful memories she left behind. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Food for the Poor Program, 44 Temple Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
