Taylor Beckler, 33, of Harrold, SD, received her angel wings on August 18, 2025, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD, surrounded by her family after a nine-month battle with Burkitt's Lymphoma. A prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Harrold Auditorium. Both services will be livestreamed from the funeral home website. Taylor Rae was born on August 4, 1992, in Pierre, South Dakota, to Tracey (Ogle) and Doug Runge. She was raised on the farm north of Harrold and attended grade school in Harrold and 7th through 10th grades in Highmore. At the start of the second semester of her sophomore year, she transferred to Stanley County, where she graduated a month after the passing of her Grandpa Jim in 2010. In high school, Taylor worked as a waitress and helped her grandpa at the Stables Bar and Café in Harrold. She loved cooking for her family during harvest and delivering meals to the field. Taylor never stayed in one place for long. She had a passion for caring for individuals with mental disabilities and worked in Pierre, Aberdeen, and Rapid City. On March 9, 2020, Taylor's greatest joy arrived-her daughter, Paisley Ann. Taylor was an amazing and loving mother. She took Paisley everywhere, always trying to give her as many experiences as possible. She prioritized hotels with water parks just to see Paisley enjoy swimming and playing. She brought her to Parade of Lights celebrations in nearby towns and to Fourth of July parades in Fort Pierre, unless they were attending the one in Harrold. Taylor attended massage school in Rapid City and was incredibly skilled. She opened 605 Oasis in Highmore, where she sold coffee and consignment items while working to obtain her massage license. When that path fell through, she turned her attention to coffee and purchased a coffee truck, Brew Birds. After the truck caught fire, she convinced her dad, Don, to help convert it into a trailer. She would wake up early, leave by 5:00 a.m., and bring Paisley along-who would often sleep on the floor while Taylor set up shop. Once Paisley started preschool, Taylor made the difficult decision to sell the truck, as she could no longer balance both school drop-offs and morning coffee sales. She would often laugh and say, "I bought a coffee truck and don't even like to drink coffee!" But she genuinely loved that truck, and it was hard for her to let it go. Taylor had a kind and giving heart. She never missed sending a card or gift for her family's birthdays and always made sure there was cake or ice cream to celebrate. She gifted Easter baskets and Christmas presents every year. She passed this giving spirit on to Paisley-who often brought Walmart flowers to the grandmas. Taylor cherished family time, and Sunday evening family suppers became a treasured tradition. She also loved spending time with the "old people" at the senior centers in Harrold and Highmore. In the fall of 2024, Taylor was working as a bartender and waitress when she was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma. The fifth floor of Avera Prairie Center became her "home away from home." She formed deep bonds with the nurses and doctors who cared for her and fought alongside her until the end. Grateful to have shared in her life are her daughter, Paisley Beckler; her parents, Doug and Elaine Runge, and her siblings, Riley and Rachael Runge, all of Pierre, SD; her grandmother, Mavis Goehring of Herreid, SD; her parents, Don and Tracey Beckler; sisters, Chelsea (Emily Evans) Beckler and Brianna (Gideon Jessen) Beckler; brother, Ryan (Kennedy Anderson) Beckler; and niece, Brynlee Beckler, all of Harrold, SD; step-brother, Andrew (Jessica) Jorgensen, and their children, Avery and Dominic, of Beresford, SD; aunt, Gerry (Hosni Elazab) Ogle, and her children, Brandon, Casey, and Emma Ogle, all of Rapid City, SD; cousin, Lisa (Judge) Jessop, and her children, Joslyn, Justice, and Josie, all of Presho, SD; grandparents, Janet and Gerald Thompson; great-grandmother, Evelyn Ritter, all of Harrold, SD; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, Jan Krull of Harrold, SD, and Amber Norfolk of Australia.
