Taylor Morrison

Geno Maurice Smith, aka Taylor Morrison, passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 53. Geno was born to Mary and Gene Smith in Santa Rosa, on December 7, 1971. He was the second oldest brother of four brothers, with a host of uncles and aunts.
For his education he attended Montgomery High School and Piner High school. He continued his education at the Santa Rosa Junior College and then attended San Francisco State to study business. Geno worked as a lab technician and in real estate, as well at Costco.
Geno had a passion for music, dance, and community. He was known for dancing through high school with his dance group, the "Cali Boys". This group toured throughout northern California, with many shows in the San Francisco area. Geno was an entertainer at heart. He was also a member of the Community Baptist Church of Santa Rosa.
His family described him as a blessing to all he met, very dependable, and was loved beyond any words that could be described. He was always ready to learn and help others and took these experiences to heart for growth. Geno was honest, respectful, and responsible. He always strived to be a better person by helping those around him.
A celebration of Geno's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Daniels Chapel of the Roses.
