Roberta Kaye Philpott

Roberta passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 12, 2026. She was 82 years old. Roberta was born on July 26, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to her father Robert Samuel Davidson and her mother Thelma Walton.

Roberta graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in Sunland California in 1961. Later in life Roberta would go on to earn a Juris Doctorate from Magna Carta School of Law in South San Francisco, California.

Roberta is survived by her brother, Robert Davidson of Camus, Washington. She is survived by her three children: Dawn LaRue of Apex, North Carolina; Grace Reed of Lowell, Arkansas; and Vernon R. Philpott of San Rafael, California. She is survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her devoted Dachshund Adrinka.

Roberta was active in Bible Study Fellowship for several decades. She loved water aerobics at the local YMCA. She was a voracious reader and a doting grandmother. She remained an active member of the California Bar Association until the very end; her passion was pro bono legal work.

Above all, Roberta will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God and her kind generosity of spirit.

A celebration of life service was held on March 21, 2026 at Lighthouse Church in Novato, California.
