It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Taylor Reece Neltner, aged 22, on May 21, 2024. Taylor was a beacon of light and hope, whose passion for life was evident in her every action and smile.
Born on September 21, 2001, in Cincinnati, OH, to Shaun and Jayme Neltner, Taylor was a vibrant and compassionate soul dedicated to making the world a better place. She was a talented soccer player and coach, both as Cooper High School’s JV Head coach and Assistant Coach with the Varsity team, as well as her club team Kings Hammer. She enjoyed spending countless hours on the field nurturing young talents and fostering a love for the game. Her dedication to soccer was matched by her commitment to her profession as a social worker. Here, Taylor tirelessly worked to improve the lives of children in her community. Her genuine care and empathy touched the lives of many families, offering support and kindness in times of need.
Taylor’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a devout member of 7 Hills Church in Florence, KY, she found strength and purpose in her relationship with God. Her faith guided her actions and was a source of comfort and inspiration to those around her. Taylor often volunteered to guide the youth groups and help out whenever she could in the nursery. Her patience, love and grace will be missed by the many little ones she was blessed to care for.
Preceding Taylor in death was her father, Shaun Edward Neltner and her maternal grandfather, Harry Edwin Hamilton II.
Those left surviving to carry on Taylor’s memory include her loving mother, Jayme Neltner; sisters, Renee Neltner, Kailey (Nolan) Kresser, (twin) Tori Neltner and Peyton Neltner; maternal grandmother, Jeanie Hamilton; paternal grandmother, Margie Neltner; aunt, Jodye (Chris) Moore; uncle, Josh Hamilton; mentor, Scott (Julie) Hughes; as well as many cousins, other close relatives and a wide circle of friends and colleagues who will forever cherish her memory.
A visitation celebrating Taylor’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at 7 Hills Church, 6800 Hazel Ct, Florence, KY 41042. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM at the church.
Expressions of sympathy in Taylor’s name may be made to 7 Hills Church (see address above) or to the Randall K. Cooper Girl’s Soccer Team, 2855 Longbranch Road, Union, KY 41091.
