-Obituary for Teal Nipper Gable-
Teal Nipper Gable, 68, of Stockbridge, Georgia, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2026.
Born on March 27, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia, Teal was the cherished daughter of George A. Nipper and Carolyn Ola Nipper, both of whom preceded her in death. She carried her family name with pride and grace throughout her life.
For the past 15 years, she made her home in Stockbridge, Georgia, where her warmth and light touched countless lives. Teal was a woman of class and style, but above all, she was a woman of unwavering faith. Raised in the faith at Forest Park First Baptist Church and, in recent years, a devoted member of Glen Haven Baptist Church, her relationship with Christ was the foundation of her life. Her faith shaped the way she loved, served, and gave of herself so freely.
Teal began her professional life as a nurse, dedicating herself to caring for others. Even after leaving the medical field, her heart for service never faded. Her love for people and for celebrating life's meaningful moments led her to operate a Hallmark store, where she thrived in helping others find the perfect words for every occasion. If you truly knew Teal, you received a card from her - for birthdays, holidays, graduations, college acceptances, weddings, or even the loss of a beloved pet. She believed no moment was too small to acknowledge and no person was too insignificant to celebrate.
She was the greatest mother her children could have ever asked for. Her love was constant, fierce, and unconditional. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Stacy Lynn Gable (48), and her son, Shevis Gable (42), and his wife, Priscilla Gable, who were the pride and joy of her life.
She was an adoring and deeply involved grandmother to Parker Ryan Greene (21), London Parker Gable (19), Paris Presley Gable (14), Rome Diesel Gable (12), and Milan Kingsley Gable (9). Her grandchildren were her world - she never missed an opportunity to support, celebrate, or brag on them.
She is also survived by her loving brother, Ted Nipper, and his wife, Jan Nipper.
Music was one of her greatest passions. She played the piano beautifully and loved to sing. She found joy in Broadway shows, musicals, concerts, and any performance that stirred the soul. As a young woman, she loved cheerleading alongside her best friend Paulette and cherished those lifelong friendships. She was family-oriented to her core and faithfully cared for her parents in their later years with tenderness and strength.
Teal had a rare gift: she made every person she met feel seen, valued, and uniquely special. She would have showered the entire world with gifts if she had the time and means. Her thoughtfulness was unmatched, her generosity boundless, and her love unmistakable.
Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing she is whole, restored, and at peace in the presence of the Lord she served so faithfully.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Thomas L Scroggs Fuenral Directors. A graveside service for family will immediately follow at Jones Memorial Cemetery.
Teal's legacy is not simply in the life she lived, but in the love she gave - a love that will echo for generations.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
