Tony, Margie & Hope,
We are truly sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Although Sandy and I never had the opportunity to get to know he and Patricia well, we certainly enjoyed yours and their company at dinner while we were living in Hunters Creek Plantation. I did take the opportunity to phone him on one occasion to discuss his work on the Gemini Space Program. In that regard, we had much in common. He had a full life and lived it well. He will be missed by many. Jim & Sandy Babb

Wow. I just learned this on Facebook from a message Nancy Gdowski sent to Linda Grist Cunningham. What a shock. I don't know if he was sick or not and sadly, I am nearby and could have attended the funeral today had I known. I was also in awe of Ted and his work. Although he was much more conservative politically than I, we were sympatico. I made sure that the Italian community in Rockford knew of and honored his many accomplishments and even stepped out on a ledge personally to praise him in the Rockford Register Star. He and Pat were tough warriors. He gave so much to Rockford and many, many people are very grateful to him for helping stem the growth of our taxes. He was controversial because he spoke out and with authority and that is threatening to some people. I loved him for his unbridled courage. Many many condolences to Pat and his family. God rest his soul.

Ted was my boss, mentor, and friend at Sundstrand; a generous and caring person. A constant source of humor, encouragement, and political viewpoints. Together, we accomplished many things in the area of software engineering. I was blessed to know Ted for those many years.

Ted was my mentor with school board politics. Beyond his time on the board, he continued to push me to keep the levy flat. It is in large part because of Ted that we have managed to do so for 10 years. He was, and should have been, proud of the money he saved this community by his challenges after the lawsuit was settled. He was also a force behind the successful Kids Win campaign that allowed RPS205 to make improvements in every school building. This community owes a debt of gratitude not only to Ted, but also to Pat for supporting his countless hours invested on the boards of RPS205, the County and RVC.
