Ted Lentz Bledsoe

Mr. Ted Lentz Bledsoe, 75 of Hope Mills went home to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon, December 3, 2013. Born December 31, 1937 in Cumberland County, he is the son of the late Stuart Lentz and Nellie Davis Bledsoe. He was happily married to his wife Faye for 55 years. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Tammy Cole & husband Jeff of Chesapeake, VA, Julie Parker & husband Larry of Lumber Bridge and Chris Bledsoe & wife Yvonne of Hope Mills; 13 grandchildren, Adam Jackson, Stephanie Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Kristin Cole, Eric Cole, Christopher Bledsoe, Jeremy Bledsoe, Ryan Bledsoe, Emily Bledsoe, Kaitlin Parker, Devon Parker and Joshua Parker; three great grandchildren; Carlie Jackson, Anna Edwards and Mason Jackson; one sister, Faye Pate of Fayetteville; one brother, Jimmy Bledsoe and wife Janice of Hope Mills; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was extremely proud of his family. In high school he was a standout basketball and baseball player. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed playing golf. Ted was a well known home builder in Cumberland county for many years. He was highly respected for his knowledge of construction and his honesty and integrity. Ted was an entrepreneur and a pillar of the community. He helped many people go into business over the years. He was dearly loved by all & will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held Sunday December 8, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at First United Baptist Church conducted by Rev. John Cuthill and Rev. Jack Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today Dec. 7, 2013, at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills.
