Ted David

Ted lived his entire life in Ames, Iowa, where he built a life defined by kindness, hard work, and connection. A familiar face to many, Ted had a special gift for striking up conversations-whether with lifelong friends or complete strangers-and he made every person he met feel seen and welcomed.
For years, Ted worked at the greenhouse, never missing a single day. His reliability and dedication were matched only by his joy in being around people. Outside of work, he loved heading to the gym, hunting for a great bargain, and most of all, finding opportunities to lend a hand. If someone needed help, Ted was the first to step forward.
Above all, Ted's favorite pastime was simply connecting-with family, friends, and even those he had just met. His open heart and generous spirit made the world around him brighter.
Ted is survived by his brother, Chris David, and his sister, Carla Young, both of Chicago. His presence will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his smile and the kindness he showed to others will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.
