Ted Lemuel Duncan, 83, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away on January 6, 2025. He was born on February 7, 1941, in Stearns, Kentucky.

Ted devoted 33 years of his life to civil service, working at Robins Air Force Base until his retirement. His commitment to serving his community was reflected in his work ethic, integrity, and dedication. Beyond his career, Ted was deeply involved in his church and local activities. He was a cherished member at Southside Baptist Church, known for his kindness and service to others. Ted had a special love for his church choir, and his passion for music and ministry remained with him throughout his life. He was also a long-time member of the Heart of Georgia Barbershop Chorus, where his love of music brought him joy and camaraderie.

Ted’s hobbies and interests extended beyond his service to others. He was a skilled artisan, taking great pride in making and collecting knives, and he was an avid collector of coins. His appreciation for craftsmanship and history was evident in his collections, and these hobbies brought him peace and fulfillment. Ted also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Minnie Godsey Duncan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Phyllis; children, Ted Scott “Scotty” Duncan, and Ronald Wayne Duncan (Jill); grandchildren, Courtney Amerson (Daniel), Kadie Beth Paugh (Jordan), Caroline Duncan, Cooper Duncan, Morgan O’Quinn (Wesley), Noah Duncan, and Lily Duncan; and great-grandchildren, Fitz O’Quinn, Miles Amerson, and Josey Amerson.

The family will greet friends during a visitation on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Southside Baptist Church. Ted will be laid to rest privately.
