Ted Gilbert Obituary
Ted was born on December 17, 1959, to the late James and Roxie (née Sumner) Gilbert. He was the beloved husband of Gladys (née Shafer) Gilbert. Devoted father of Ted "TJ" Allen (Regina) Gilbert Jr. and Corey James (Kim Payne) Gilbert. Loving grandfather of Alexis (Jakob) Ryan, Jonathon (Peyton) Gillen, and Cameron Gilbert. Proud great-grandfather of Nolan Ryan, Nora Ryan, and Leo Gillen. Dear brother of Mark (Cheryl) Gilbert, Jawanna (the late Don) Herd, Brenda (Michael) Harwick, Tracy (Kenny) Jaeger, and Terra (Tom) Gausman. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Bob Shafer and Gene Shafer.
Ted dedicated 30 years of service as a mechanic with the United States Postal Service, where he worked his way up to the position of manager through hard work and commitment. Visitation will be held at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:30 AM, with burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
