Ted Johnson of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Friday January 20, 2023, in a local hospital at the age of 67. Ted Johnson was born on July 17, 1955, to the late Willis "Goodlow" and Bernice "Lude" (Releford) Johnson. He grew up in a Christian home. Ted attend and graduated from Roland High School In 1973. He worked with TRANE General Electric for 11 years. Ted was known as Papa Ted to all who came in contact with him. Ted gave to those in need and had a very pure soul, he never met a stranger and touched the heart of those he met. His humor brought happiness to all he accompanied. Ted is preceded in death by his father, Willis "Goodlow" Johnson; Mother, Bernice "Lude" Johnson; Two brothers, Willis and Richard Johnson; Maternal Grandparents, Charlie & Lillian Releford; and Paternal Grandparents Wallace & Mabel Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Laticia Knauls of Fort Smith Arkansas, Tiffany Johnson of Fayetteville Arkansas, and Whitney Johnson of Spiro Oklahoma; 1 Sister, Phyllis Bell of Muldrow Oklahoma; and 5 Brothers, James Johnson of Muldrow OK, Sherman W. Johnson(Yvette) of Muldrow OK, Harvey L Johnson of Muldrow, Gary D. Johnson of Muldrow OK, And Les B. Johnson(Shelly) of Muldrow Oklahoma. Viewing will be Thursday February 2, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith Arkansas from 9am-5pm followed by a Visitation from 5pm-7pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, February 3, 2023, at New Covenant International Christian Church at 1:00pm in Fort Smith Arkansas with Stanley Whitmore officiating. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery in Muldrow Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
