Ted Olson, 83, of Greenville, IL, formerly of Alexis, IL passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at his home.
Ted was born February 2, 1942, in Galesburg, IL the son of John Ted and Dayzie (Guenther) Olson. He was raised and educated in Alexis, IL graduating from Alexis High School in 1960. He later served with the US Army Reserves for 10 years.
Ted married Connie Westfall in Galesburg, IL on July 20, 1968, and she survives.
Ted was a Press Operator for International Harvester in East Moline, IL for 26 years before retiring in 1992.
He enjoyed old tractors and going to tractor shows, camping, riding motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Olson of Greenville, IL; his children, Marcy (Matt) Weller of Greenville, Il and Bryan (Jennifer) Olson of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Allison Grace Weller and Collin Garret Weller; brother, Roger (Alicia) Olson of FL; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Olson; in-laws, Donald & Catherine Westfall; sister-in-law, Katy Olson and brother in-law, Donnie Westfall.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Alexis Presbyterian Church, Alexis, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Church. Memorials may be given to the Alexis Presbyterian Church and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
