Ted William Perdue, age 56, passed away on July 7, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born May 11, 1969, in Long Beach, California.
From California his family moved to Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he spent most of his adolescent years until he moved to Kanas with his brother Glenn to help take care of his adopted mom and dad. Ted was a free spirit and found himself completely drawn to the ocean to reside in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he spent many years. In 2014 Glenn reached out to Ted and told him to let him bring him to Texas where he can live a life he should be living.
Ted moved to Texas 10-31-2014, and soon after met the love of his life Keelie Perdue. Ted's dream in life was to always become a father and have a family. Keelie blessed him with 3 bonus sons and then carried 4 more boys of his own. Ted was a phenomenal father and hung the moon for his children. Strangers have seen Ted's interactions with his boys and said it raised the bar for them with their own.
Ted was an entrepreneur and had an immense passion for taking care of his family. His entrepreneurship led him to create multiple businesses to provide the best life for his family. Those include Perdue Overhead Doors, KTP Liquidations, & KK’s Sweet Treats Ice Cream Boat in memory of his late bonus son Kadence. Ted's favorite things to do were spending time with his family and friends and teaching his boys to be boys. He taught them how to ride motorcycles, four wheelers, go carts, swim, fish, and how to run businesses even at their young age. Ted was instilling in them his work ethic. Ted's favorite hobbies were riding his motorcycle, cooking, singing, and playing guitar. He most enjoyed family and friend get togethers, loud music and Budweiser! Ted's greatest accomplishment in life was without a doubt his children, he was so proud to be a father, it was the light of his life! Ted was a phenomenal father, husband, and friend. He was someone you could count on. Ted never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone who needed a little help didn't matter who you were. Ted will forever be a legend to all that knew him.
