Teddy Eugene Lampkin, 78, of the Carbo section of Russell County, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 6, 1946, in Carbo, the son of the late Tommy and Leota Kiser Lampkin.

He was a lifelong member of the Carbo Community Church and served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He retired from Clinchfield Coal Company after 25 years. Well known in his community, he loved helping his friends and neighbors and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone needing help.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Roger Lampkin and Bobby Lampkin; sister, Wanda Couch; half brother, Tommy Hall.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Walden Lampkin; sons, Steve Lampkin and wife Kim and Paul Lampkin and wife Julie; daughter, Susan Lampkin; grandchildren, Derek Lampkin, Abby Lampkin, Lauren Lampkin, Rylan Day, and Miles Lampkin; brother, Eddie Lampkin; sister, Martha Horne and husband Donnie; special friends, Jay Walden, Jerry Couch, David Sutherland, Donnie Horne, and George Mays.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon, Va., with Pastor Roger Phillips officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jason Lampkin, Chad Lampkin, Brandon Lampkin, Swaine Lampkin, David "Hammer" Sutherland Jr., Joel Sutherland and Seth Sutherland.

Honorary pallbearers will be the "Handy's Breakfast Gang".

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m.
