Teddy Beecher Marshall, 84, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, August 23, 2025, following an extended period of poor health. Beecher was born in Dickenson County, Virginia, where he lived until coming to Kingsport to care for his mother. He was an employee of General Shale, the Kingsport Press in Hawkins County and Kingsport, then returned to General Shale, where he was a fork lift operator. Beecher enjoyed playing chess, hunting and fishing.
Beecher was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Timothy and Teddy; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Marshall; son, Chris Marshall and wife Angie; three grandsons, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Garrett and Marie Trice; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Atkins officiating.
A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
