Teddy Lee West

Teddy Lee West, husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, went home to be with Jesus on January 19, 2025 at the age of 63 after battling pancreatic cancer. Teddy passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and his faithful companion and protector, Puddles.
Teddy was born on July 17, 1961 in Cleveland, OH to Vestor Bee West and Wanda Lenafrank Lovely. He was a longtime resident of Lake City, TN and attended Lake City High School. He was of Baptist faith and was a member of West Side Baptist Church of Lake City. His claim to fame was once wrestling a bear as a teenager and he loved to tell his kids about it. Teddy drove a truck for Schneider National and enjoyed traveling across the country. He never met a stranger or ate a food he didn't love. Teddy loved cooking meals for his family. He enjoyed carpentry and all types of woodworking. He had a passion to build things and understand how things worked. He loved watching football with his son, Nathaniel, watching movies with his son, Landon, going on windy and spontaneous drives with his son, Dalton, having complex conversations over a good cup of quality coffee with his daughter, Jessica, talking about music with his one and only grandbaby, Katie, and spending as much time as possible with his bride of 42 years, Sandy. Teddy fiercely loved his family and was loyal to his friends.
Teddy is preceded in death by his parents, Vestor Bee West and Wanda Lenafrank Lovely, his brother, Stephen West, his sister, Vivian Kay West, his nephew, Billy Jack Adams, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by:
Wife of 42 years, Cassandra Martin West, of Lake City
Daughter, Jessica Miles and Jason, of Lake City
Sons: Nathaniel West of Lake City
Dalton West of Knoxville
Landon West of Lake City
Granddaughter, Katelyn Miles, of Lake City
Sisters: Debra Harless and Carl of Clinton
Patricia Depew and Elvin of Indiana
Parents-in-law, Thomas and Guyneth Martin, of Andersonville
Brother-in-law, Ronald and Cindy Martin, of Andersonville
Teddy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Hatmaker Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2025 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Bridges officiating.
Friends and Family will meet at Hatmaker Funeral Home at 10:15 AM to go in procession to the Sam Foust Cemetery in Lake City, Tennessee for an 11:00 AM graveside service.
