Tena Rena Mosley Lafferty, age 57, of Auxier, KY, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, KY, after a long battle with COPD. She was born August 19, 1967 in McDowell, KY, daughter of the late Arnold and Naomi Ruth Mitchell Mosley. She was a homemaker, loving mother, mamaw, sister and aunt.
She is survived by two daughters; Krystal Rena Layne, Langley, KY and April Dawn Layne, Auxier, KY, two brothers; Arnold (Billie Lou) Mosley Jr., Auxier, KY and Phillip (Rosalina) Moore, Killeen, TX, three sisters; Brenda Mosley (Chuckie Murray), Columbus, OH, Teresa Mosley and Tammy Moore, Columbus, OH, one sister-in-law: Billie Jo Mosley, nine grandchildren; Dillon Michael Smothers, Kylie Rena Perkins, Brice Collin Clark Shepherd, Kaidence Nichole Lawson, Ryder James Scott, Brandi Dawn Thompson and Xavier Jase Thompson, Natalie Lafferty, nieces and nephews; Arnold Mosley III, Justin and Allitha Mosley, Allisha, Savannah, Ellison, Summer, Kannon, Kaila, Morgan, Jordan, Harli, Jase, Phillip Damien and Ariana, cousins; Bill Newsome, Susie Newsome, and Mike Newsome, Eric and Shelly Stump.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter; Brandi Lynn Mosley and one brother; Bill Mosley, one niece; Tanisha Mosley.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 30, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 5:30 until 10 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home,
Martin, Kentucky.
Donations to support services for children with Autism can be made to the Speak from the Heart Campaign of the Appalachian Valley Autism Center.
