Teodoro Hernandez, a cherished father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, in Center, Colorado, at the age of 26. Born on January 22, 1999, in Alamosa, Colorado, to proud parents Hebert and Maria Hernandez, Ted grew up surrounded by the love and warmth of a close-knit family.
Teodoro, affectionately known by all as just Ted, was a beacon of kindness and thoughtfulness in the lives of those he touched. His loving nature and his ability to connect with people were unmatched. A paraprofessional for the Center School District, Ted dedicated himself to supporting and nurturing the minds of young learners. His passion for education was evident in the care and patience he showed each day.
A man of many interests, Ted found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for basketball and football, and his enthusiasm was infectious. Ted's love for the outdoors was a testament to his adventurous spirit. He cherished the times he could escape to fish, camp, and immerse himself in the tranquility of nature. His culinary skills, especially his grilling, were a source of delight for his family and friends, who eagerly anticipated his delicious meals.
Teds legacy is carried on by his beloved parents, Hebert and Maria Hernandez, and his adored children, Liam and Carter Hernandez, and Xochitl Hernandez. His presence will be deeply missed by his siblings, Gilbert Hernandez, whose children Jeziah and Jenessy Hernandez brought him immense joy, and Bianca Hernandez, whose children Yarlely Villagran, and his siblings, Socoro, and Hebert Hernandez were a source of pride and happiness. Ted also leaves behind the mother of his daughter, Alicia Garcia, who shared in the journey of parenting their cherished Xochitl.
His extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, will remember Ted for his boundless love and the genuine connections he forged with each of them. His ability to light up a room with his talkative and friendly demeanor earned him the affectionate title of a social butterfly. Always seen with a smile on his face, Ted's open and engaging personality made him a beloved figure in his community.
Ted is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose Maclovio Hernandez and Maria Leonor Hernandez, whose values and love shaped him into the remarkable man he became.
