Maria Teresa Mata Torres nació en Tepatiltan de Morelos Jalisco el 21 de enero de 1970. Hija primogénita de Jose Guadalupe Mata y de Maria de lo Angeles Torres. Se unió en matrimonio a Jose Martin el 29 de junio de 1990, y migro a los Estados Unidos, país donde residió el resto de su vida, siendo San Antonio, Texas, su ultimo lugar de residencia.

 

Tere encontró su pasión en la educación y el servicio a los demás. Maestra, catequista, misionera, servidora, dirigente del grupo juvenil de su iglesia, participante del coro. Una mujer siempre dispuesta a tenderle la mano a quien mas lo necesitara.

 

En su vida personal, siempre fue una mujer que amaba bailar, que disfrutaba del ejercicio y de cantar. La mejor organizadora de reuniones familiares. Quien siempre intercedía y era siempre una persona conciliadora que gozaba de ver a la familia unida. Siempre presente en la vida de sus seres queridos, ya fueran cercanos o a distancia.

 

Mujer integra, respetuosa, honesta y compasiva, quien siempre sembró amor y bondad en las vidas de todas aquellas personas que tuvieron el privilegio de compartir con ella. Su alegría era contagiosa y su sonrisa podia iluminar cualquier lugar donde ella estuviera presente. Un ser humano muy fácil de querer.

 

Su vida y su generosidad serán siempre recordadas, así como el amor inmenso y sincero que siempre demostró a sus seres queridos.

 

A Tere le sobreviven sus tres hijos, Jesus, Josue y Jocelyne, sus dos nietos, Camila y Elijah, su madre, Maria de los Angeles Torres, sus 8 hermanos y sus 17 sobrinos.

 

 

 

Maria Teresa Mata was born in Tepatitlan de Morelos Jalisco on January 21, 1970. First born to Jose Guadalupe Mata and Maria de los Angeles Torres. She married Jose Martin on June 29th, 1990, and migrated to the United States, country where she lived for the rest of her life. Her last residency place was San Antonio, Texas.

 

Tere found her true passion on education and servicing others. School teacher, catechism teacher, missionary, youth group leader, choir singer. A woman always ready to help those in need.

 

In her personal life, she loved dancing, working out and singing. The best family reunions planner. A person who always interceded and was conciliatory, who enjoyed family unity. A woman who was always present in her loved ones’ lives. Close or far.

 

A respectful, hones and compassionate woman, who inspired love and kindness on all of those who had the pleasure of sharing life with her. Her happiness was contagious and her smile could lit up any room. Tere was easy to love!

 

Her legacy of love and generosity will be remembered through the time, as well as her immense and sincere love that she always showed by example.

 

Tere’s serving children: Jesus, Josue ad Jocelyne, grandchildren Elijah and Camilla, mother Maria de los Angeles Torres, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews will carry her unconditional love in our hearts forever.
