Teresa Jo Bond, a beloved daughter of Carrollton, Kentucky, entered the arms of the Lord on August 29, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on September 20, 1953, to Webb Suter Adams and Isabelle (Briley) Cloyd-Adams, Teresa's spirit was forever shaped by the values instilled in her by her family.
Teresa was known for her unwavering loyalty to friends and family, a trait that defined her character throughout her life. She was a force to be reckoned with; able to outcut any man when it came to sticks of tobacco, she was a testament to hard work and determination. Her commitment to those she loved was unparalleled, as she would selflessly give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Most cherished among her family and friends, Teresa demonstrated a life devoted to service, always willing to jump in to help others whenever necessary.
A devoted Christian, mother, and grandmother, Teresa took great pride in each role she embodied. She nurtured her family with love and guidance, striving to be a remarkable example for her children and grandchildren. Her daughter, Victoria "Tori" (Shawn) Stephenson of Carrollton, KY, and her son, Cody (Taylor White) Bond of Carrollton, KY, along with her cherished grandchildren—Alexis (Cole) Johnson, Aden, Braden, Hannah, and Canton Stephenson—were the lights of her life. Teresa’s heart was equally full of love for her siblings, Connie Jackson of Sellersburg, IN, Dorothy Davis of Carrollton, KY, and her brother John Cloyd of Henryville, IN, who stood by her throughout her life's journey.
Teresa was not only a hardworking individual but also a woman with a creative spirit. She loved farm work and had a remarkable talent for painting, using her artistry to express her love and compassion for others. Her desire to start a ministry for children exemplified her yearning to give back and support the next generation. Known for teaching valuable lessons, Teresa sought to instill wisdom and kindness in everyone around her, reminding them of the importance of caring for one another.
Though Teresa leaves behind a tapestry of joyous memories, she is now joined in eternal rest with those who have gone before her, including her father, Webb Suter Adams, her mother, Isabelle (Briley) Cloyd-Adams, her brothers Vernon Franklin Adams Sr., Wayne Cloyd, Luke Cloyd, Donnie, Noble, Maxwell, and Lawrence Adams, and her sisters, Emma Hawkins, Martha Cloyd Botkins, and Mary Louise Adams, The loss of her grandson, Ashton Stephenson, is particularly poignant, and she now watches over him in peace.
Friends, family, and all who knew Teresa are invited to celebrate her extraordinary life.
