Teresa Brimley

Teresa Brimley was born May 31, 1962, to the late John Brimley Sr. and Mattie Barrett at St Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, NJ.
She graduated John F. Kennedy High School, Paterson, NJ in 1981. Teresa gave her life to Christ at an early age, but most recently became a dedicated member June 23, 2019, of Grace Chapel Baptist Church in Paterson, NJ. Teresa's journey continued as she was appointed House Manager at Real House Incorporated for twelve years.
Teresa had such a charismatic presence about her that touched everyone she ever encountered. Teresa was the life of every party she attended and loved to dance the night away, which made those close to her, believe the party didn't start until she arrived. Teresa loved to laugh, very loud of excitement to be exact, have fun doing various activities, spending the holidays with her family, go on trips, she enjoyed animals, specifically her grandson cat Bean and her dog nephew Logan, she loved to look good and clothes shopping, spending time with her sisters, force food on her kids even if they weren't hungry, being trained to use the latest technology by her colleagues and spending time with her best friend Marva.
She genuinely loved everyone, and it was very rare that anyone ever had the pleasure of having a conversation with her wanted it to end. Teresa was exceptionally intelligent and strong-willed no matter the circumstances. Teresa loved God and was very spiritual to the day she transitioned. God played a significant role in Teresa's journey through life which she did strive her best to live in his image. As she demonstrated her entire life, Teresa was a fighter to the very end. Although we only had Teresa for a short time, her journey is not over and we will forever miss our beloved Teresa.
Teresa is survived by her mother; Mattie Barrett of Clifton, NJ, two sons; Shaquan Brimley of Clifton, NJ and Keyson Burns of Paterson, NJ, one daughter; Tamara Burns of Secaucus, NJ, sister; Angie Barrett of Rockland, NJ, brothers; John Brimley Jr. (Caroline) and Bobby Brimley of Mobile, Alabama, sisters; Rebie Brimley (Donald) of Irvington, NJ, (late) Patricia Brimley (Wilson) of Mobile, Alabama and brother; Bernard Barrett (Eydie) of East Stroudsburg, PA, grandsons; ShaQuaye' Brimley of Clifton, NJ, Keyontae Burns of Paterson, NJ, Nicolas Burns of Chester, PA, fifty-three nieces and nephews, best friend; Marva Barnes of Newark, NJ and special friend; Walter Mims of Paterson, NJ.
