Randy Gray Brimley

Randy Gray Brimley age 79 of Owosso, MI sadly left us on August 23, 2024.
Randy was born on July 19, 1945, in Lansing, Mi., the son of Marjorie E. Reichstetter (Gray) and Edward J. Brimley. Randy was then raised by his Grandparents, Daisy and Clayson Gray whom he lovingly referred to as his Mom and Dad along with his parents.
He graduated from Perry High School in 1963. On July 19, 1965, he married his one and only love Coleen K. Ruhl. He and Coleen spent 59 devoted years together raising their children and then enjoying their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Randy worked at Buick in Flint, Mi prior to his employment at the Williamston, Mi Post Office and then the Owosso, Mi Post Office as a city letter carrier. He retired from the Post Office after 31 years of service. When he wasn't at his job, he and Coleen could be found on the farm raising pigs, cattle, crops, and gardening.
He loved hunting and fishing of any kind, spending time with his family and going to the cabin. In his younger years he was an avid horseman and competed in local speed shows with his family. He was a former 4-H leader, Vice President of the Looking Glass River Sportsman Club, Shiawassee County Pork Producers member, FFA Alumni member and involved in community organizations where he spent many hours volunteering his service. He rarely missed a sporting event; livestock show or any other activity where his family was involved. In his retirement years he enjoyed raising a large garden and sharing his produce with family, friends, and neighbors.
Randy is survived by his wife Coleen Brimley; daughter Louri Miller (Duane Leach), son Brian Brimley (Kelli); grandchildren Joseph Sanchez (Lindsey), Brandon Sanchez (Regina), Isabella Miller, Olivia Miller, Drew Brimley, Kelsey Jarvinen, Tristen Jarvinen; great-grandchildren Kent Vitek, Oliver Sanchez, Brimley Sanchez, Grayden Sanchez, Holly Jarvinen and Ember Jarvinen; sisters Linda O'connor, Mary Lake, Teresa Spagnuolo (Joe), Ruth Herrman (Ron); brother Carl Reichstetter (Lisa), Mother-in-law, Ginny Ruhl and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Leo Reichstetter, Edward Brimley; grandparents Clayson and Daisy Gray; sister Alice Woodworth and brother Fred Reichstetter.
In lieu of traditional mourning Randy's family requests the joy of your company as they honor him and celebrate his life on Saturday October 12, 2024, 12:00 pm at the Bennington Township Hall - 5849 S. M-52, Owosso, Mi 48867.
