It is with heavy hearts that the family of Teresa Lene Colditz announces her passing on June 15, 2023. Teresa was born on March 25, 1965, in Hiawassee, Georgia to Bill and Tutie Donaldson. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt as well as a dedicated business owner and operator of Colditz Trucking and Paving. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Teresa was an amazing woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her passion for life was contagious, and everyone who knew her was drawn to her kindness. She loved gardening, camping, cruising, spoiling her nieces and nephews rotten, and could never pass up an opportunity to play pranks on her family and friends.
Teresa worked tirelessly to carve her name in the road construction business, building her company from the ground up with the help of her family and friends. Her financial expertise and leadership were invaluable to the success of her company. Her love for business extended beyond her own company as she worked to help others around her succeed.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband: Darryl Colditz, grandparents: Louise & Warren Adams, W.L. Donaldson, and Lloyd & Ellene Tanner, and father-in-law: Paul Colditz.
Teresa is survived by her parents: Bill & Tutie Donaldson; brother and sister-in-law: Keith & Pat Donaldson; mother-in-law: June Colditz; brother-in-law: Dennis Colditz; nephews: Will (Lexi) Donaldson and Aaron Colditz; nieces: Edie Donaldson, Lillie Donaldson, and Caroline Dillard; life-long friend and fiancé: Eddie Terry; best-friend: Alecia Graves; many other beloved family members, close friends, employees, colleagues, and numerous people from all walks of life whose lives were positively impacted by knowing someone so selfless that was always willing to help and listen.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation on Saturday June 17, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Cochran’s Funeral Home in Blairsville to share memories of Teresa. The funeral service will take place on Sunday June 18, 2023, beginning at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Cochran Funeral Home followed by an interment ceremony at Union Memory Gardens.
