Teresa Janeil Harding, 74, of Liberty, Missouri went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 29, 2023.
Teresa was born on January 9, 1949 in Clinton, Missouri. She was one of 12 children born to Julian and Bonnie Church. She graduated from Calhoun High School in Calhoun, Missouri and then later continued her education, training in the medical field. Teresa was a perfectionist and used that trait to help others, especially those who were most vulnerable dealing with various health issues. She spent 31 years working at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, where she advocated for patients needs as a ward clerk, phlebotomist and culminating her career as a lab processor. Upon retirement in 2019 she moved to Liberty, Missouri to be closer to her daughter and grandkids. In her spare time, she loved listening to music, playing cards with neighbors and spending time with family. She cherished her mother daughter trips to the nail salon, especially getting matching nail colors. Her love for dogs always brought her so much joy. Her grandkids were the light of her life and proud of them beyond measure. She never grew tired of her favorite sweet treat of fudge rounds and Coke. Teresa was a devout Catholic and longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Clinton, MO. She later became a member of St. James Catholic Church in Liberty, MO.
Her huge heart and feisty spirit will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her daughter, Erin (James) Brando; son, Kenneth (Corrina) Crane; stepchildren, Rich (Sherrie) Harding, Candy (Keith) Fortner, and Matt (Jackie) Harding; grandchildren, Demi (Jon) Turner, Cameron Tecce, Kevin Jr. (Lacole) Tecce, Matt Tecce, Maria Brando, Jake Fortner, Rachel (Nathan) Underwood, Nicole (Jason) Vineyard, Cody Harding, Tahlon Harding, and Joe Paradies; great grandchildren, Madison, Charlotte, Kaitlin, Issac, Paisley, and Adelaide; siblings, Judith (Ron) Chalfant, and Joyce Church of Connecticut, Marty (Joe) Goodrich, J.D. (Peggy) Church, Mary Humphrey, Charlene McVay, and Brenda (Dave) Dillard of Texas, Marvin Church (fiancee, Kathy Caulder), Brian (Annamary) Church, and Curtis (Tammy) Church of North Carolina; and many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Larry Harding; and brother, Terry Joe Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Liberty, MO on Tuesday, September 5th, with visitation at noon, followed by the funeral mass at 1:00pm. Whilst flowers are appreciated the family would also welcome donations in honor of Teresa to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A Reed Road, Kansas City MO.
