Teresa Liles Hopper Tucker, age 72 of Bossier City, passed from this life on September 21, 2025.
Teresa was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Roland and Elaine (Heath) Liles. She married the great love of her life, James E. Hopper in 1973, who preceded her in death in 1998. She later married Charles Tucker in 2003, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her cherished daughter, Kimberly Elaine Hopper Young, her two dear younger sisters, Renae Liles Leone (Frank) and Cyndy Liles Kosemund (Brad); and her stepson, Charles Tucker (Rochelle). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Abigail, Charles, and Valerie, as well as great-grandson, Levi. Left to also cherish her memory is her niece, Kami; her nephews, Franky, Wade, Joe, Mark, Matthew, Lance, Chris and their children, whom she adored. She will also be missed by a host of friends and relatives.
Teresa was a devout Catholic and enjoyed practicing her faith. She had a thirst for knowledge and was always eager to share that knowledge with others. She was proud at accomplishing "Master Gardener" status. She was an avid reader, and loved to sit on her back porch to watch the birds and wildlife. She had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially cats. She also loved volunteering and advocating for animal rescue charities.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Father Karl Daigle.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Robinson's Rescue, 2515 Line Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71104 / www.robinsonsrescue.org Donations can be made in her memory.
