Teresa McHam, age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born in Homer, Louisiana, Teresa's journey took her to Tatum, New Mexico; Sterling, Oklahoma; Perry, Oklahoma; McKinney, Texas; and Kingfisher, Oklahoma, where she created warm and loving homes. As a devoted mother and grandmother, Teresa was cherished for her boundless kindness and the heartfelt devotion she poured into her family. Teresa had a gift for making everyone feel truly welcome and valued. Her caring spirit shone in the comforting meals she prepared, the vibrant gardens she nurtured, and the joyful hours spent crafting and sharing laughter with her sisters. Her music echoed through church halls as she played piano and organ, a heartfelt expression of her deep love for Jesus and a faith that spoke through every note. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Allen McHam; her daughter, Lorie Denton; her son, Scott McHam; five grandchildren; and her sister, Janet Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Reginald Harper and Annie Harper; her sister, Regina Devore; her niece, Amy Denman; and her granddaughter, Kinlee Denton. Details for the celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kinlee Denton Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Oklahoma. https://cfok.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=9341 Teresa's gentle spirit and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts. "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." – Helen Keller.
