Teresa Michelle "Ree" Patterson

On February 12, 1965 Teresa Michelle Patterson was born to the late Oliver E. Patterson,

Sr, and Mrs. Della Ruth Patterson in LaGrange, Ga.

Teresa, affectionately known as "Ree" carried an infectious smile and aurora that lit up

any room she walked in. She had a way of displaying love in many unique ways to

everyone she came in contact with. Ree embodied resilience, and strength despite the

many challenges she faced in life. When you saw Ree, you knew a good time was on the

way.

At an early age Ree united with the Zion Hill Baptist Church in the Thomas Town

community, and later joined the New Beginning Baptist Church under the leadership of

Dr. William E. Harris, Sr.

She matriculated through the Troup County School System where she graduated from

LaGrange High School, and was employed at the Brian Center, and Dunson Mills

previously in life.

Ree enjoyed eating, calling her children and relatives asking "what you cook?, bring me

a plate", playing cards with friends at backyard gatherings, walking around the

neighborhood, yelling out of car windows, volunteering car rides to people (even though

she didn't drive), and spending precious time with her grandchildren and great

grandchildren.

On Friday, July 11, 2025, Ree joined the Church Triumphant, where sorrow is no more

and joy is eternal. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her aunts:

Katie Cutwright, Cordelle Delaney and Hazel Patterson; Uncles: Harrison Patterson,

and Charlie Patterson; Brother in Law's: John Reese, and Damon Carr.

Ree leaves to cherish her beloved memories, her mother, Mrs. Della Patterson; Children,

Sherika Patterson, and Tiffany Patterson; Grandchildren, Pastor Ayquavious D. Tucker,

Jaquindre Patterson, and Lindasia Nash; Great-Grandchildren, Jaquinlin Patterson,

and Makai Patterson; Siblings, Sheila (Charles) Brown, Jacquelyn Carr, Oliver

Patterson, Jr, Shirley Henderson, Santey Patterson, Ethel Barrett, Pastor Gloria Burks,

Sherry Smith, Loetha Cole, and many more adopted siblings; One Aunt, Jaunita (Rufus)

Persons; One Uncle, Mark Patterson; Special friends, Ronnie (Charlene) Harrell, and

Jessie Matthews; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
