Teresa Jeanine Story, born on August 16, 1960, in Jackson, TN, was the beloved daughter of Kay Tull Hurst and the late Quinton Hurst. Teresa's life was a testament to her unwavering love and commitment to those around her.
As the founder and owner of Nicholas Matters, she channeled her passion into advocating for the mentally handicapped, ensuring that they received the caring and compassionate support they deserved. This organization was not only a mission for Teresa; it was a profound expression of love for her son, Nick. Her dedication impacted countless lives, reflecting her compassionate spirit.
Teresa found joy in the beauty of nature, nurturing her flowers and tending to her yard with great care. She loved jigsaw puzzles and expressed her creativity through woodworking. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and comfort.
On February 28, 2025, Teresa departed this life in Selmer, Tennessee, at the age of 64 years, 6 months, and 12 days. She leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Shawn Story of Adamsville, TN; her mother, Kay Hurst of Bethel Springs, TN; a brother, Tim Hurst, and his wife, Vickie; and her beloved companion, Tommy Cox of Selmer, TN - he was her everything!.
Additionally, she leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will forever remember her warmth and kindness.
Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved father and her son, Nicholas Quinton "Nick" Story. Her legacy of love, advocacy, and compassion will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew her.
