With deep love and profound gratitude, we remember our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Teresa Lance Warner, who peacefully passed from this life on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at her home in Forest Grove, Oregon, after a courageous battle with leukemia and lymphoma.
Teresa was born on March 23, 1963, in Sacramento, California, to Joseph Alby Lance and Pearl Jean Goins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law Nathan Maxwell. Sheis survived by her devoted husband, James Warner; her children, Jared (Amy) Westbroek, Stefan Hill, Rebecca (Tyler) Jackson, Kylynn Maxwell, and Alex Hill, her stepdaughters Ann (Adam) Duke, Jackie (Ammon) Johnson, Melissa Dominguez, and Michelle (Cory) Backes, her adored grandchildren, and her cherished siblings.
Family was the center of Teresa's life. She poured her love and energy into every relationship, ensuring each person felt valued and cared for. Her life was a shining example of selflessness, loyalty, and devotion. She always remained steadfast in her love for those closest to her, embodying fierce loyalty and extraordinary strength in the face of adversity.
Teresa's beloved dog Frankie was her constant companion. She loved to take him along on outings, sharing his infectious joy and putting smiles on the faces of those around her. And when her health began to falter, Frankie was always by her side, offering comfort and companionship in some of her most challenging moments. His presence was a quiet reminder of the love and light she carried, even in her hardest days.
Throughout her life, Teresa maintained an optimistic and hopeful outlook. Even in the most difficult times, she believed that no matter the hardship of the day, there was always hope for tomorrow, and the sun would shine again. Her faith, her belief in the good, and her love for others were constants that inspired all who knew her. Despite years of challenging medical treatments, she never lost her ability to smile. Her resilience and grace were a testament to her character.
Teresa was passionate about her work as a registered nurse in the operating room, where she cared for her patients with a combination of skill, compassion, and a steady presence. Her dedication to the well-being of others was evident in everything she did, whether it was at work or in the lives of those she loved.
She was also known for her gift of nurturing others through her delicious baked goods, and started her own business called Nana's Cake Pop Shop. Whether it was a homemade brownie, a batch of cookies or her newest delicious creation, Teresa knew how to warm hearts and bring joy to any occasion.
In her final days, Teresa shared this simple, yet profound thought with her daughters: "I figured out life. Forgive, forget, and love. You just have to try your best." It was a philosophy she lived by-open-hearted, forgiving, and filled with peace. She leaves behind a legacy of grace and an example of how to live well.
Teresa's life was a success-not because of what she had, but because of how she made others feel. She was a light in the lives of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. While we will deeply miss her, Teresa's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who love her. We are so fortunate to have shared in her life.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the LDS Church, 3661 Brooke St., Forest Grove, OR 97116. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park in Ogden, UT, with a Celebration of Life Luncheon to follow nearby (specific details TBA).
