Terrence “Terry” Edward Allgeyer, aged 65 (born June 10, 1959), passed away peacefully in his home on November 19th. After graduating from Elder High School in 1977, he pursued an engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He then married his high-school sweetheart, Denise (nee Schobert) in 1984. From there, the two settled down on the westside of Cincinnati where they raised their 3 children.
In addition to being a devoted husband, he was a very involved father who loved coaching his sons’ sports teams at St. Dominic. He had a fulfilling career as an electrical engineer that spanned 40+ years.
Terry was very outgoing, he didn’t know a stranger, and was the life of the party. While he enjoyed being a father, being a grandfather was his true passion, whether it was cheering on his grandson at a baseball game or reading a book to his granddaughter, it was evident that his grandchildren gave him another purpose in life.
Terry is proceeded in death by his parents Lawrence E. Allgeyer and Mary Jean (McLaughlin), his older brothers Timothy and Mark.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Denise, his children, Tyler LaHue-Allgeyer (Michelle), Lindsey Buelterman (Dan), Michael Allgeyer, his grandchildren Nicholas Allgeyer, Brooklyn LaHue-Allgeyer, and Alex Allgeyer. He is also survived by his older brother, Tom Allgeyer (Diane) and sister-in-law Carolyn Allgeyer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Sunday, December 1 at Radel funeral home, 650 Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45233, from 3-5pm. Mass will be held on Monday, December 2, at St. Dominic Catholic Church 4551 Delhi Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45238 at 10am.
Donations are asked to be made in Terry’s name to Elder High School.
