Terrence Conway-Duncan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels - Missouri on Aug. 12, 2024.
Terrence Denise (Conway) Duncan entered this world on May 16,1955 in Kansas City, Missouri with her eyes closed and departed this earth with an open heart on August 11, 2024. She was here on the earth 25,550 glorious days. We thank Jesus for the wonderful blessings, the gift of life and God being in our life with miracles and wonders.
Terrnce (Noona) as she was affectionately called was the first born and only girl born to her parents: Phillip W. Conway, Sr. and Earnestine Webb Conway. Terrence was the apple of her parent's eye. Even though she was raised with a houseful of boys, she was a force to be reckoned with and could stand her grounds with the best of them.
Often, she was called to protect her brothers against the neighborhood boys. Her brothers will miss her, but not as without hope, for they too know that one day they will see her again. She was preceded in death by both parents and her brother Franklin Conway.
Terrence was united with Christ at an early age and confessed, believed and lived a Christ like life. You can expect to see her again if you are walking as she did with Christ. Her daily prayer was that her family be saved.
Terrence was educated in the Kansas City, Mo Public School District, where she graduated from Central Senior High School in 1973. She later became an employee, as an Executive Secretary in the same district. Terrence was blessed with a bouncing baby boy Eddie Bowls in 1974. Together she and her parents raised him to become the wonderful young man he is today. She retired and enjoyed life traveling and being with her husband. She married Phillip Duncan in 1989. Wherever you saw one, you saw the other. PD's life will forever be changed since TC (as she was affectionately known by her husband) will no longer walk this earth. But he is leaning and depending on God's word and will continue to prepare for when it is his time to see her again.
Her mother created and sold Hallelujah Hair Pomade for years. Noona soon joined the team and became the CEO, distributor of Hallelujah products. Inspired by her mother's recipe, she ran the company successfully, as well as worked full time with the KC School DIstrict. Hallelujah was a testament of her mother's life and later became Noona's testimony.
Terrence used her spiritual gifts of healing, praying for people, praying over the phone with them with miracle signs and wonders, even up to 2 weeks ago! Terrence also had the gift of baking and during the holidays would bake fruit cobblers, pies and cakes. She would distribute them to families and friends. Wow! What wonderful baking skills she had.
She leaves behind to celebrate her life: Her husband of 35 years, Phillip (PD) Duncan Sr., son, Eddie (Grandman) Bowls and bonus children Phillip Duncan, Jr. and Mia Duncan. Brothers - James Stuart Sr. (Nathella) of Broken Arrow, Ok., Phillip Conway, Jr. (Darlene), DeNorval (Tony) Conway of Atlanta, Georgia, Ernest Conway (Kathy). Aunt Lucretia Jackson and a Special Cousin - Ira Conway.
Noona leaves 3 grandchildren Deshawn Bowls, Paige Bowls, Rickeiya Bowls, 2 great- grandchildren, 7 nieces, 4 nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews, Friends and loved ones. Noona was loved by many and will be missed.
Through life's journey things will get rough, but just trust in Jesus and he will guide you through. You don't need airfare, no luggage, no money or jewels, because Jesus died a long time ago and he has paid the price for you.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024,11am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation from 10am-11am at the chapel. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
