So sad to learn of Terry´s passing. He was a great person and a great friend. We shared plenty of good times and memories together with myself and my family. I will always remember our great memories together. Just a terrible loss of a great friend. My condolences to all of his family members.

To Colleen, Megan, Brendan and and Danny from the Reichard family. How well we remember your precious Mother and Dad. Although our paths have not crossed in so many years, we have clear and vivid memories of the 4 of you from school days. Our many memories of laughter and joy with your parents; the joy of being with your beautiful mother in good times and in some not-so-good times (even then your Mom was a gift to spend time with as she was always so upbeat). Your Dad´s funeral Mass today reflected the many very happy times we spent with him. We´re joyful that they are now together forever more. Our love to you. Please stay in touch. Bill & Pat Reichard and children.

Uncle Terry brought so much to my life. With his thunderous laugh, his unwavering confidence, his gregarious personality, his generous soul, his Irish wit, his captivating storytelling, and his constant state of being up for any challenge or mischief. He and my Aunt Jan were tied to my parents by blood and deep friendship. They have collectively passed that to me and my cousins and I am eternally grateful for those bonds with my extraordinary cousins.
I regret that I am not there to help celebrate Terry´s life with you. Please know that he, Aunt Jan, my cousins, and all of my Ashtabula family are in my heart.

Terry was a lifelong friend from fourth grade up to the day of his death. He was an energetic, humorous, and generous friend. In school he was a bright, unique, and and constant pal and team-mate in two sports -- football and basketball. Terry's parents and siblings -- especially his two older brothers Bill and David Miller, and their wide circle of friends were always open and warm. His Dad, Dr. William J. McCarthy, was our Allan family physician and a devout Catholic whose example, life lessons, and generosity, impressed themselves on every one who knew him. Mrs. Margaret McCarthy was warm and open and amazing manager of a gigantic McCarthy household which always included a huge number of friends and visitors. Terry, and his lovely wife Jan echoed those sentiments and welcomed friends with open arms in Washington, DC and in Ohio. Her death at an early age had even then produced four children very much like herself and Terry, their Dad. In short -- and it has to be -- Terry, and all who knew him, his wife, their children and his parents and siblings and their circle of friends created a community that all of us who knew them hoped we could emulate. God Bless them all -- Terry, who I'm proud to say, was dear and close friend for more than seven decades. He'll be pleased to hear once again that he was among the handful of people on the planet that she loved to have at her table -- and who actually believed he was handsome as she kissed his face! He'll be terribly missed, but I know he's gone over the rainbow and crossed the beautiful Lake Erie that he knew so well.
