Terrence Shamp, age 77, of Cranesville, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on June 10, 1948, in Union City, PA, the son of the late Wesley and Dorothy Hodak Shamp.
Terry graduated from Union City High School in 1966 and went on to serve in the United States Navy. He worked as a Quality Control Inspector at Riley Stocker for many years until retirement. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening. He loved his dog and all animals, especially pigs and horses. He was a supporter of animal rescues.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Don Folks and a sister at birth, Carol Shamp.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Bueg Shamp; his children, Mason Shamp (Angela), Travis Shamp (Christy) and Stacey Holmes (Dennis); stepchildren, Dawn Lydic-Hain (Josuha) and Randy Lydic (Rena); brothers, Wesley Shamp (Ludmela), Joseph Shamp (Joanie), Tony Shamp (Helen); sisters, Linda Shamp, and Debra Myers (Ray); seven grandchildren, Giddeon, Rowan, Tanis, Adam, Lucas, Ian, and Lily; and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his first wife Maxine, his stepmother Andrea Shamp, and brother-in-law William Straub.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangement entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, Girard.
