Terrence Smith

Terrence "Terry" Smith, 57, of Richmond, VA, passed away, with family by his side on September 7, 2022.
Terry was born on February 5, 1965, in Akron, Ohio. The Smith Family resided in Youngstown, Ohio, where Terry graduated from East High School in 1983. After graduation Terry traveled and spent time in various cities, including New York City. Eventually, the entire family relocated to the Northern Virginia area, where Terry worked as a City Clerk for the City of Alexandria for almost twenty years. Terry moved to Richmond, VA, where he managed a FedEx store and focused on starting his notary public loan signing business.
There is nothing more that Terry loved than the holidays - he enjoyed the twinkle of the Christmas tree lights. Terry also enjoyed watching movies, playing video games, collecting comic books, and eating good food. These were his forms of relaxation. Terry spent his life taking care of his family in many ways and was the loudest supporter anyone could have in their corner. Terry took pride in his appearance and was a sharp dresser, who always wore the best cologne. He was proud being the eldest brother to Colette, Lori, and Adrian.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Reverend Bell Smith Jr. and Bonnie J. Smith. Terry is survived by his sisters Colette Huftalen, Lori (Charles) Adams; brother Adrian (Lynette) Smith; close cousins, Daryl (Nicole) Trice and Kimberly Trice; nieces Teonia Copeland, Brittney Copeland; nephews, Daryl (Sarah) Copeland and Cameron Adams; his dearest friend Tamarr Williams; a host of great nieces and great nephews, and other lifelong family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Mountcastle Turch Funeral home (4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City, VA 22193), on Saturday, September 17 at 12 p.m. The viewing will be from 11:00 am to 12 p.m. Burial procession via police escort will directly follow at Stonewell Memory Gardens (12004 Lee Highway, Manassas, VA 20109). The repast will be hosted by family at Great American, 8365 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109 at 3 p.m.
