Age 73, of Carnegie, passed away with his loving family at his side on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 following a courageous battle against cancer. Son to the late Phillip and Marie (Mehaffey) Steiner; beloved husband of 48 years to Nancy (Drost) Steiner; loving father of 8 children, 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren: Terrence Steiner, Jr. (wife Maria and daughters Makenzie, Magdelyn, and Melina), Kelly Madonia (husband Michael and daughter Kira), Philip (wife Wendy and children Morgan, Luke, Kacey, and Gabriel), Paul (wife Christina and children/grandchildren Corie with husband Christian and children Atlas and Anastasia, Paul Jr and fiance Aaliyah, Cole, Jonathan, Jazzalynn, and Dakota), Kristin Lewis (husband Damon and children Liam, Parker, Caleb, Cooper, and Vaeda), Kimberly Squires (husband Chad and children Ethan and Madison), Jordan (wife Molly and children Samuel and Maeve) and Jacob (SO Brittney).  Along with his parents, Terrence has joined his brothers William, Philip, Russell and Shawn in heaven and is survived by his siblings Phyllis (Don) Sorocco, Melanie (Bob) Franz, Michael (Mary Jo) Steiner, Michelle (John) Nolan, Jackie (Jim) Engel, Kevin Steiner, Milissa Burge, Rosalind (Doug) Burchell.

A Marine Corps veteran, he proudly served from 1968-1972, spending two years in Vietnam. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, he moved back to Pittsburgh. He lovingly “pursued” Nancy Drost before they were married on December 21st, 1974. They had 8 children together and Terry carried on his service as a volunteer firefighter, Carnegie Boro Councilman, and soccer game chauffeur. Throughout his time with us, he was the life of the party and could always make you laugh. So raise a glass to “Pappy Two Cats” who surely has heaven in stitches right now. Cheers to you, Sergeant Steiner.

Friends welcome from 12-8 PM Tuesday, December 27 in WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., where his memorial service with full military honors will take place Wednesday, December 28 at 11:45 AM.
