She has been the Pastor of River of Life Christian Fellowship Church (formerly Church on the Rock) for the past 18 years. Terris truly lived for the Lord. She often said that "God is No. 1 in my life". Terris reached people in truly deep and positive ways. So many of her church members have said how much Pastor Terris has taught them over the years.
Terris is survived by her husband, Luther "Doc" Padgett, a brother, Danny Risinger, a son, Michael Devanie Johnson, a daughter, Laura Cunningham, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and church members whose lives she touched so deeply are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm at River of Life Christian Fellowship Church, 2501 Leaphart
Road, West Columbia, SC 29169.

Pastor Terris was a Beautiful person inside and out and next to my mom she was the ( Rock) of our families. She loved and served God faithfully her whole life. Her passion and love for God Family and the church was amazing ! When someone needed help pastor was always the first in line to help. We will miss her love strength and leadership. She was preceded by our mom Mary Risinger Her sisters Betty Elkin Marie Ouzts Nelda Laird and her Brother David Risinger. She was a inspiration to me out Families and all her Friends. We will miss her a lot !
