Terry Alexander, age 63, of Maryville passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. Terry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was known for his long time love for fishing and tying fishing lures. He enjoyed fishing for pleasure and competing in fishing tournaments. His handmade lures were popular among local fishermen. Terry was a longtime associate at Denso. Additionally, Terry was a member of Piney Level Baptist Church for over 20 years.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents O.B. and Irene Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kim Alexander; son and daughter-in-law Jayson and Hailey Alexander; daughters, Amyee Alexander and Allison Alexander; grandsons John Alexander and Sam Alexander; brother Roger Alexander; sisters, Betty Hicks, Barbara Williams, Charlotte Dyer, Donna Landers; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday September 18, 2025 in the Smith Trinity chapel from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm. Friends and family will assemble at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service and burial at 11:00 am on Friday, September 19, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gary Lindsey Fishing Tournament, a local event that supports three local nonprofit organizations. Please make checks payable to Gary Lindsey Fishing Tournament and mail to 937 Huffstetler Road, Maryville TN 37803. Condolences may be shared through Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, TN, 865-983-1000.
