Terry Wayne Anderson, 52, of Burlington, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Coffey County Hospital.

He was born March 29, 1973, at Emporia, KS, the son of Larry Wayne Anderson and Carol Jean Noonan.

Terry was a lifelong resident of Burlington. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1991. He attended Allen County Community College before earning a Bachelor of Business degree at Emporia State University.

He worked as an adjuster for Farm Bureau before beginning his career at Citizens State Bank, where he was currently vice-president. Besides the bank Terry was very active raising cattle and farming. He also sold real estate and did property appraisals. He was active in the community and was a volunteer with Coffey County Fire District #1. He worked hard and was determined to be successful in all that he did. He was named the Kansas Banker's Assoc. Grasslands Award winner in Coffey County in 2023.

He and Jennifer Barr were married and they became the parents of two sons, Ty and Brody. He and Jenny were later divorced. Terry loved following his sons activities, especially their sporting events. He was very proud of both of them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Anderson, on February 14, 2021. He was also preceded by his grandparents, Floyd and Beverly Noonan and Kenny Anderson and Marie Anderson Paxson.

He leaves his sons, Ty of Emporia and Brody of Wichita; his mother and step-father Carol and Ted Bartlett, Burlington; his step-mother, Terri Anderson, Burlington; his sister, Traci Larkin (Chris), Burleson, TX; step sisters, Stephanie Templin, Texas, and Christine Fraker, Colorado Springs, CO; step-brothers, Tory and Timothy Bartlett, Atlanta, GA; nieces Mackenzi Anderson, Morgan Townsdin, and Madilyn Smedra; a number of aunts and uncles, great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery at Burlington.

The family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Coffey County Cancer Support Group and may be sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
