Terry Wayne Baker

Terry Wayne Baker, age 70, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was born June 7, 1954, in Aurora, the son of Alan and Freda (Cutbirth) Baker.
Terry was a 1972 graduate of Galena High School, in Galena, Missouri. He began his work career at the Juvenile Shoe Corporation in the early 70's, before becoming a cabinet builder for Dave's Custom Woodworking in Aurora, Missouri, where he worked for the past 45 years. As a lifelong craftsman, he enjoyed doing projects around the house and for others. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in the garden, mowing, hunting and fishing, and more than anything, spending time with his family.
On December 29, 1972, he married Rita Irene Housley in Marionville, Missouri.
Terry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rita; his children, Heather Ray and her husband, Shawn, of Aurora, Tiffany Gold and her husband, James, of Aurora, and Jeremy Baker and his wife, Rachel, of Wheelerville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Mason and Olivia Ray, Riley and Alexis Gold, and Roland, Sawyer and Finley Baker; his siblings, Joetta Pritchard of Aurora, Jerry Lynn (Rose) Baker of Marionville, Linda Sue Jackson of Wheelerville, Gary (Brenda) Baker of Marionville, Mackey Baker of Galena, Missouri, Ailene (Jack) Squibb of Marionville, Carol June (Jerry) May of Aurora, Tom (Janie) Baker of Galena, and Penny and Rusty Melton of Billings; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy (Carl) Johnson of Marionville, Larry Housley of Marionville, Kenneth Housley of Aurora, Gary Don Housley of Hastings, Minnesota, Kathy (John) Williams of Aurora, Sharon Rhodes of Monett, Missouri, Brenda Sims-Murphy of Springfield, Missouri, Larry Murphy of Crane, Missouri and Diana Housley of Aurora.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Freda Baker; his granddaughter, Ava Gold; his siblings, Ruth Ann (Howard) Smith, Ray Dean (Irene) Baker; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Pritchard, Roger Jackson, Carolyn Sue Baker, Barbara Housley, Leonard (Glenda) Housley, Tim Rhodes, Louis Sims, and Teresa Murphy.
A visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held at a later date at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri.
