Terry Lee Barber passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, surrounded by his family at home, age 70.

 Mr. Barber was born on November 16, 1953, to Leland Marvin and Agnes Barber in Chowan Co, NC. He worked in EMS for 48 years and retired as Director at Wilson County Emergency Medical Services after 28 years.

 The family would like to thank Sydney Holm, Bonnie Virgil, Loretta Lane and Hospice of Wilson for their care during his illness.

 Visitation will be on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 12:00pm until 1:45pm, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy, Wilson, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm in the chapel, with Bro. Brandon Dees officiating.

 He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Southerland Whitehead Barber; daughter, Charlotte Leigh Soren and her husband, Todd, of Henrico, VA; sons: Christopher Neil Barber, of Henrico, VA, Christopher Howard Whitehead, II, and his wife Wendy, of Burgaw, NC, William Cofield Whitehead and his wife Amie, of Wilson, NC, and Jason Edwyn Whitehead and his wife Anna, of Wilson, NC;; mother, Agnes Phelps Barber, of Jamesville, NC; brothers: Emerson Loyal Sawyer and his wife Shirley, of Greenville, NC, Marvin Gregory Barber and his wife Lori, of Jamesville, NC, Jeffrey Elton Barber and his wife Trina, of Crown Point, IN, and Leland Marvin Barber, Jr. and his wife Anita, of Sarasota, FL; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

 His father precedes him in death.

 In lieu of flowers, Mr. Barbers family requests that donations be made to Wilson Rescue Squad, or Hospice of Wilson.
